Hello, my name is Leonie Schön and I’m an artist and pathology resident from Germany. I have always had a passion for both: Science and art. I’ve been painting from a young age and over my studies I discovered my most significant source of inspiration: the hidden world under the microscope.

After graduating from medical school in 2019, I started sharing my work via my Instagram page, @lamellipodium. With my art I am exploring connections between art and medicine, trying to reveal the beauty of the human body one painting at a time. I get inspired by everything under the microscope and bring it to life in vibrant watercolors!
